The IMS6000 disaster-prevention and safety-monitoring system, built on IoT sensing, edge computing, relay control and big-data technologies, continuously monitors, warns and alarms against natural hazards—wind, rain, snow and earthquakes—that endanger train operations, as well as sudden intrusion events such as falling objects from highway-over-rail bridges or rockfalls at tunnel portals. It provides dispatchers with decisive grounds for speed restrictions, service suspensions, maintenance orders and emergency response, thereby enhancing disaster-prevention capabilities and establishing an advanced pre-disaster perception and early-warning framework.
