On August 6th, the group standard "Technical Conditions for Dispatch Communication System of Suburban (Suburban) Railway" (T/VSTR 018-2024) of the Zhongguancun Urban-Rail Transit Video and Safety Industry Technology Alliance was officially released through the National Group Standard Information Platform and will be officially implemented from September 1, 2024.

The "Technical Conditions for Dispatch Communication System of Suburban (Suburban) Railway" was led in drafting by Beijing Jiaxun Feihong Electrical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jiaxun Feihong," stock code: 300213) and China Railway Engineering Design Consulting Group Co., Ltd., with the participation of units such as the Signal & Communication Design Institute, Railway No.1 Design Institute, Railway No.2 Design Institute, Railway No.4 Design Institute, Urban Construction Design Institute, Shanghai Railway Design Institute, China Railway Signal and Communication Corporation, Beijing Oriental Intelligence, Xi'an Leidi, Railway No.5 Design Institute, Railway No.6 Design Institute, and China Software & Technology Co., Ltd.

The standard stipulates the system architecture and composition, system services, system functions, system performance, equipment technical requirements, network management, numbering rules and IP address allocation, interface requirements, requirements for the quality of the bearer network, synchronization requirements, security requirements, power supply and equipment grounding requirements, and environmental adaptability requirements for the dispatch communication system of suburban (suburban) railways. It is applicable to the design, product manufacturing, and operation maintenance of dispatch communication systems in suburban (suburban) railways, as well as intercity railways that have characteristics of suburban (suburban) railways in terms of passenger flow features and transportation demands.

The drafting and formulation of the standard are based on the actual needs of suburban (suburban) railway transportation organization and construction management. Focusing on the dispatch communication system, which is one of the key systems for transportation command, the standard fully leverages the guiding role of advantageous technologies to provide a standard basis for the technical conditions of suburban (suburban) railway dispatch communication systems, and helps solve the challenges of cross-line operation between suburban (suburban) and intercity railways and other rail transit systems.
