Yu Yong, Executive Vice President of Jiaxun Feihong, together with executives from the company's overseas business unit and its technical team, hosted the delegation. The two sides held in-depth discussions on railway communication solutions, project delivery experience, and avenues for future cooperation.

In his welcome remarks, Yu Yong emphasized Jiaxun Feihong's long-standing focus on mission-critical communications and railway technologies. "We start from real operational needs and use technology to solve real problems," he said. "Our work on the Jakarta–Bandung High-Speed Railway, where we delivered the dispatching and emergency communication systems, gave us valuable hands-on experience in Indonesia." He also thanked Huawei for bringing the parties together and expressed hope for deeper collaboration built on open, localized, and sustainable cooperation to support the modernization of Indonesian railways.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, I Gede Darmayusa, KAI's Director of Portfolio Management and Information Technology, noted that KAI's network spans high-speed, conventional, commuter, and light rail, with multiple technology generations operating side by side. "Our communication systems remain relatively traditional, and the need for upgrading is urgent," he said. "We look forward to learning from China's proven railway experience through closer engagement with Jiaxun Feihong and Huawei."

During the visit, the delegation toured Jiaxun Feihong's exhibition hall, reviewing the company's capabilities in command and dispatch, intelligent safety, and intelligent operations and maintenance. Discussions also covered the current state of Indonesia's railway communications and the application prospects of FRMCS, the global successor to GSM-R.

Jiaxun Feihong is a long-standing Huawei partner in smart transportation. The two companies have jointly delivered overseas projects including Malaysia's East Coast Rail Link, South Africa's PRASA railway, and Mozambique's CFM railway. The parties agreed to explore combining Jiaxun Feihong's rail communication expertise, Huawei's ICT capabilities, and the local strengths of KAI and SURGE to accelerate the digital upgrading of Indonesia's railway communications.

As Southeast Asia's largest economy, Indonesia is transitioning its railway communications from legacy technologies to FRMCS, in line with global industry trends. The visit is expected to strengthen Jiaxun Feihong's presence in Indonesia and the broader Southeast Asian rail market, laying the groundwork for future project cooperation.
