From September 17 to 19, the 11th HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 was held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center and the Shanghai Expo Center. Beijing Jiaxun Feihong Electrical Co., Ltd. ("Jiaxun Feihong") attended the event as an invited in-depth strategic partner of Huawei in the smart transportation sector.

On September 18, the conference hosted a CXO roundtable, bringing together industry leaders and technical experts from civil aviation, rail transit, electric power, and other sectors. Yu Yong, Executive Vice President of Jiaxun Feihong, delivered a keynote speech titled Multi-Modal Sensing Empowers Intelligent and Precise Railway Perimeter Protection, sharing the application progress of multi-modal sensing technology in high-speed railway line testing, existing system upgrades, and overseas projects, drawing on the company's optical-visual and radar-visual integrated perimeter protection practices.

Multi-Modal Integrated Sensing Builds a Solid Defense for Railway Perimeter Security

As railway networks continue to expand and trackside environments grow increasingly complex, railway perimeter protection faces higher requirements for sensing coverage, recognition accuracy, and alarm effectiveness. In his speech, Yu Yong noted that in the face of diverse targets and complex interference, every single sensing method has its own strengths and limitations. Railway perimeter protection, he said, calls for the coordination and complementarity of multi-modal sensing capabilities to further improve recognition and assessment in complex scenarios.

To this end, Jiaxun Feihong and Huawei have carried out sustained joint exploration, integrating optical fiber sensing, radar sensing, and video AI capabilities. By leveraging the complementary advantages of different sensing methods in detection range, environmental adaptability, and target recognition — combined with intelligent analysis and comprehensive assessment tailored to railway operating scenarios — the two companies continue to enhance the practicality and reliability of perimeter protection solutions.

Field Verification and Project Delivery Continuously Validate Solution Capabilities

The optical-visual integrated solution combines optical fiber sensing with visual AI analysis to form a dual-sensing protection system. In recent high-speed railway line safety environment monitoring tests, Jiaxun Feihong and Huawei's technical team jointly completed full-scenario verification covering interference environments and long-term operation, with all indicators exceeding test standards.

The solution has been deployed on the Tren Maya railway in Mexico, covering approximately 180 kilometers of track, providing all-weather, blind-spot-free protection for this national strategic railway, much of which runs through wildlife habitats.

Beyond optical-visual integration, the two companies have also jointly developed a radar-visual integrated solution: once radar detects an intruding target, it coordinates with video for tracking, snapshot capture, and AI-powered intelligent analysis, generating a unified alarm through comprehensive decision-making. The solution also features rain-and-fog enhancement and continuous moving-target tracking, meeting the monitoring and high-precision speed measurement needs of key areas in complex environments.

Joint Solutions Showcased at the Exhibition; Ecosystem Collaboration Expands into the Future

At the conference, the two companies' joint solutions were showcased in the smart transportation exhibition area, covering railway perimeter intrusion alarms, railway disaster prevention monitoring, and railway AI video analysis. Jiaxun Feihong held in-depth discussions with attending industry customers and ecosystem partners on the practical path toward intelligent perimeter protection upgrades.

The two companies are also conducting joint cloud-based operations through Huawei's Asia-Pacific OpenLab, advancing solution and use-case design, and supporting the overseas rollout of Huawei's Smart Transportation BU's next-generation bearer and train dispatch baseline solution, as well as the expansion of the SURGE FRMCS level crossing safety project in Indonesia.

Going forward, Jiaxun Feihong will continue to deepen industrial collaboration with Huawei and other ecosystem partners, driving the joint solutions into application across more railway lines and scenarios.
